Play Like A Champ

Softball Camp

What can I expect from camp?

Scheduled half hour sessions in all skill areas, according to age and ability, with either small group or individual instruction and instructional scrimmages, appropriate to age and skill level, directed by a highly motivated, select professional staff.

What should I bring?

Glove and cleats are necessary; sneakers on rainy days.  Suntan lotion to avoid sunburn.  Water bottles ice water refills are always available.  Lunch and snack.  If you are a catcher, bring your equipment, if available.

Clearly label all personal items.

What happens on a rainy day?

Camp will be held indoors as scheduled.  Every attempt will be made to hold the camp Monday Thursday.  However due to increased demands for the facilities at Cherokee H S., and the gyms are not available,.the **camp may be pushed to Friday of the affected week.

What happens when an injury or illness occur?

A certified athletic trainer is on the site at all times and will notify parents immediately, if a problem occurs.

Can parents attend camp with a child?

Parents are encouraged to come, watch & learn. Bring a lunch.

What happens if I am placed in the wrong group?

Make your concerns known to Mike Medrick or a staff member.

How do I register?

What is the difference between the first and second week?

During both weeks all phases of program content will be covered.  The first week's emphasis will be defensive skills and the second week offensive skills will be stressed.  A two week camper will receive extended instruction and will be grouped accordingly.  Pitching and hitting are emphasized both weeks.

Can I get a refund if I register but am unable to attend camp?

Yes, but there is a $25 non-refundable administration fee, and notification must be given a week prior to camp.  No refunds will be given once camp begins.

Why register early?

Early registration enables us to plan a better camp for you.  We must order supplies & T-shirts weeks before camp starts, hire extra staff and develop daily teaching sessions.  All of this is done according to the number of girls attending camp.

Additional information will be sent with  registration confirmation.
